Vaishnav Dharm
The information about Vaishnava religion comes from the Upanishads. It developed from the Bhagavata religion. The worshipers of Narayana were originally called Pancharatras.
The originator of the Vaishnava religion was Krishna, who belonged to the Vrishika clan and whose residence was Mathura.
Krishna is first mentioned in the Chandogya Upanishad as Devaki-Putra and disciple of Angiras. The earliest record of Vasudeva Krishna is found in the Besanagara Stambha inscription.
The ten incarnations of Vishnu are mentioned in the Matsyapurana.
