Vaishnav Dharm


The information about Vaishnava religion comes from the Upanishads. It developed from the Bhagavata religion. The worshipers of Narayana were originally called Pancharatras.

The originator of the Vaishnava religion was Krishna, who belonged to the Vrishika clan and whose residence was Mathura.
Krishna is first mentioned in the Chandogya Upanishad as Devaki-Putra and disciple of Angiras. The earliest record of Vasudeva Krishna is found in the Besanagara Stambha inscription.
The ten incarnations of Vishnu are mentioned in the Matsyapurana.
The ten avatars are as follows - 1. Matsya 2. Koorm 3. Varaha 4. Narsingh 5. Vamana 6. Parasurama 7. Rama 8. Balarama 9. Enlightened 10. Kalki In order to attain the Vaishnava religion God, the highest importance has been given to Bhakti. The Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu contained six spokes. Shaiv dharm


Those who worship Lord Shiva are considered to be related to Shaivism.
Early archaeological evidence of Shivalinga worship is found from the remains of Harappan culture.
The Rigveda mentions a deity named Rudra for Shiva. In the Atharvaveda, Shiva is called Bhava, Sharva, Pashupati and Bhupati.
The first explicit description of Linga Puja is found in the Matsyapurana. Shiva's wife has a pleasant form - Padma, Parvati, Uma, Gauri and Bhairavi.
Pashupat Sampradaya is the most ancient sect of Shaivas. Its founder was Lakulish. Who is considered to be one of the 18 incarnations of Lord Shiva.
Bhairava, the presiding deity of the Kapalika sect. The main center of this community was a place called Shri Shail. Zero Editing is the main religious text of the Lingayats.
Nath Sampraday was founded by Matsyendranath in the 10th century. It was propagated during the time of Baba Gorakhnath.Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Pallavas and Cholas.
In South India, Shaivism was popular at the time of the The famous Kailash temple of Ellora was built by the Rashtrakuta kings.
The Chola ruler Rajaraja I built the famous Rajarajeshwar Shaiva temple in Tanjore. Which is also known as Brihadisvara Temple.
Simultaneous marking of Shiva and Nandi is obtained on the currency of the Kushan rulers.
