Twenty third pupil named dharmavati
Twenty third pupil named dharmavati |
When King Bhoja ascended to the throne the next day, the twenty-third effigy named Dharmavati stopped the king and said, "King, I will tell you the story of the courage of King Vikramaditya."
Hey, Rajan was once sitting in King Vikramaditya's court and was talking to the courtiers. In the course of the conversation, a debate broke out among the courtiers about whether a man grows up by birth or by karma?
The debate was not coming to an end, because the court had two factions.
One used to say that man is greater than birth because man's birth is the result of his past births. Good rites are hereditary in man just as the king's son becomes king.
His attitude too is like Kings. Some courtiers believed that karma is the primary thing.
A person born in a good family also gets addicted to mishaps and goes towards degradation by indulging in deeds against dignity.
Due to their misdeeds and misdeeds, they do not get any social status and get reproach everywhere.
At this point, the first group argued that the basic rituals cannot be destroyed like the lotus plant does not lose its virtue even while living in mud. The rose does not lose its fragrance even after being born on thorns, and the sandal retains its fragrance and coolness, never being poisonous, due to the habitat of snakes on the sandal tree.
Both sides tried to justify themselves by their arguments. No one was ready to change his mind.
Vikram was quietly enjoying their arguments. When their argument went much further, the king ordered them to remain calm and said that they would do it by direct example.
He ordered that a lion's child be brought from the forest. Immediately some hunters went to the forest and brought a lion's newborn cub.
He called a shepherd and asked him to raise the newborn cub along with the goat's children.
The shepherd did not understand, but he obeyed the king's order and took the cub.
The cub was brought up with the children of the goat.
He too started drinking goats milk to satisfy hunger, when goat children grew, they started grazing grass and leaves. The cub also eats leaves with great fervor. He continued to drink milk when he was a little older, but he could not eat even after wanting grass and leaves.
One day when Vikram called him to tell him about the condition of the cub, he told them that the lion's child behaves exactly like goats.
He pleaded with the king to allow him to feed meat to the cub, as the cub no longer likes grass and leaves.
Vikram flatly refuses and says that he should be raised only on milk.
The shepherd got confused. He did not understand why Maharaj is bent on making a carnivorous animal vegetarian. He returned home.
The cub, which was now young, lived with goats all day and drank milk. Sometimes, when hungry, he used to eat grass-leaves too.
Like other goats, when he was drawn towards the court in the evening, he would rise silently with his head bowed and no one would resist when he was closed.
One day when he was grazing with other goats, a lion locked in a cage was brought.
On seeing Singh, all the goats started running scared and he also ran away with the tail.
After that the king asked the shepherd to keep him freely. When hungry, he hunted the rabbit and eased his appetite.
After living independently for a few days, he killed small animals and started eating them. But at the behest of the shepherd, the cage would shut down peacefully. After a few days, he continued to have a ferocious nature like goats.
One day when the same lion was brought before him again, he did not run away fearfully.
When he heard the roar of a lion, he also roared with full voice. The king was watching everything with his courtiers.
He told the courtiers that the basic instincts in humans are from birth just like a lion's child.
Those tendencies are automatically exposed on occasion, as happened with this cub. While living with the goats, his lioness tendency was hidden,
But after wandering freely, it was automatically revealed. No one taught him all this, but man should be respected according to karma.
All agreed, but one minister did not agree with the king's words. He believed that Vikram was born due to being born in Rajkula, otherwise he would not be a king even after performing karma for seven births.
The king just smiled.
Time kept on passing by. One day a sailor appeared in his court with a beautiful flower. The flower was truly unique and people saw such a beautiful red flower for the first time.
The king sent to find the origin of the flower.
They both grew in a boat in the direction from which the flowers had flowed. The stream of the river used to be very narrow and intense, somewhere it flowed on top of the rocks. It was quite an inaccessible road.
The flowing boat reached the place where there was a wonderful view on the shore.
On a large tree, a Yogi was hung upside down with chains. Many deep wounds were formed on his body due to the rubbing of Janjirs. Blood was being sucked from the wounds which when falling into the river turned into bloody flowers.
At some distance, some sadhus were engrossed in austerities. When he returned to the court with some more flowers, the minister told the king everything.
Then Vikram explained to him that the inverted yogi should be considered as the king and other saints were his courtiers.
This deed of previous birth makes him a king or courtier. Now the minister understood the king's point.
He assumed that one gets a throne only as a result of the deeds of previous birth.
